My children are American citizens, but we (parents) are green card holder. Can we apply OCI card for my children?
Yes you can. The law regarding the OIC is briefly as follows: – Persons who were citizens of India on or at anytime after 26.01.1950 or was entitled to become a citizen of India, January 26, 1950 or belonged to a territory that became part of India after August 15, 1947 and their children and grandchildren, whose citizenship comes as the country of citizenship allows dual citizenship in some form or another in the local law, shall be eligible to be registered. OCI OCI allows authorities their native-born Americans and can be applied OCI for their children, contact the nearest Indian consulate in the United States.
